WOW, what a short summer! It is hard to believe that school is back in session. Hopefully everyone had a fabulous summer with family and friends. We are excited about another great year here at Culver Community Schools.
We have several new staff members that we would like to welcome to our school family. We are grateful that such outstanding individuals want to join our work here at Culver.
We are excited that you have chosen Culver Community Schools as the school that you want your child to be a part of. We take the job of educating each individual student seriously. We strive to continue to deliver the best education for your child. Our goal is to make sure that every student who enters our buildings each year has the awesome opportunity to learn and grow and to become the best individual they can be.
We have expanded our Project Lead the Way Program. We would like to see this program continue to grow in popularity. Our agriculture program continues to grow. It is amazing to see the number of students involved in these programs. Thanks to all involved in causing these programs to be a success.
During the summer we were able to accomplish some needed improvements to our buildings and grounds. As an example, several areas of cracked and broken concrete sidewalks have been replaced. Also the loading dock at the middle/high school has been replaced, including adding a ramp to that location. Security has been enhanced at the entrances of the middle school and the high school as well. As you know, if you have come into the high school through the main doors, you now must go directly into the high school office to gain entrance into the main part of the building.
Fall athletics are well underway. Currently we have athletes participating in cross-country, football, soccer, and volleyball. We wish all the athletes and coaches the best. Keep in mind that through athletic competition, students have the opportunity to mature and learn several important life lessons. Good sportsmanship is at the top of that list and is the expectation here at Culver Community Schools.
Wishing everyone the best,
Chuck Kitchell, Interim Superintendent
Culver Community Schools
